It’s quite a claim to include “Biggest”, “Most-Powerful” and “Hand-engraved” in one sentence about a handgun, but that’s not just bragging – it’s true! It’s the Second Amendment® Tribute .50-Cal. Revolver Limited Edition, the World’s Most Powerful Handgun – and at 15″ O.A.L. and 5 lbs. loaded, it’s the BIGGEST! And, if that weren’t enough, now it’s hand-engraved and inlaid with 24-Karat Gold. But appropriately, only in this, the Second Amendment Limited Edition, it honors our powerful Right to Keep and Bear Arms! And powerful this revolver is, with about three times the punch of a .44 Magnum, and 10X the punch of a .38 Special! The barrel is ported and features a full-length shroud and a full-length underlug – three features to help tame the recoil – aided by the heft of its five-pound weight.
Deluxe Engineering Features
Deluxe engineering features of this S&W 500 include: a micrometer-click adjustable rear sight, ball-detent frame-to-yoke lock, solid ejector rod, interchangeable front sight blade and drilled and tapped for scope. But, it is the engraving and the 24-Karat Gold inlay and the plating work that make this special. For this Limited Edition, all the engraving is by hand.
Solid 24-Karat Gold Inlay
A rolled scroll of the Constitution, with the lead-in “We the People” is hand engraved on the right side of the frame. This is inlaid with an outline of solid 24-Karat Gold. Along the underlug are engraved the words of the Second Amendment, “The Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms”. A flowing scroll inscribed “One of 200” is hand engraved on the left side of the frame. Traditional American scrolls provide high coverage of engraving across both sides of the barrel and frame.
Hand engraved traditional gun scrolls form a rear border around the perimeter of the massive cylinder. The following words are interspersed between the flutes of the cylinder: DEFENDING/FREEDOM/FAMILY/COUNTRY/ HOME. To accent the inlaid 24-Karat Gold – and for a smoother action – the trigger, hammer, cylinder release, cylinder release screw, and four sideplate screws (one is concealed by the grip) are beautifully plated with 24-Karat Gold. The custom grip is Walnut, by Herrett’s Gunstocks, deluxe finished to a high gloss and made just for this project. An all-rubber “shock-absorber” grip is also included.
Limited Edition: Only 200
This is a firing limited edition of only 200 firearms (“One of 200” Collector Edition), and each is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity numbered between 001 and 200 to match the Limited Edition Registry Number engraved on the firearm. For the advanced collector we are also issuing a “One of 10” Ultra Edition of the Second Amendment Tribute (Sold Out). Custom embellished, big-bore rifles and shotguns can sell for many tens of thousands of dollars, some even $100,000 or more. But, aside from the few pieces we have ever issued, it has been impossible to find big-bore handguns in this lofty league.
